We facilitate efficient coordination and collaboration among the various departments of Kyushu University to ensure the smooth rollout of digital transformation (DX) initiatives.<\/p>\n

Division of Digital Society Research<\/h3>\n

Collaborating with the organizations related to digital society research and practice inside and outside the university, we will explore the ideal future for digital transformation (DX) in societies. This division aims to contribute to DX research and development by providing and updating a roadmap of DX strategies to solve social issues. Research units will be set up depending on social situation.<\/p>\n

Division of Learning Analytics<\/h3>\n

Based on the analysis of learners’ educational activity logs, we will conduct research on extracting and visualizing information that aids in understanding students’ comprehension levels and improving teaching methods. This research will contribute to further enhancing the educational standards at our university.<\/p>\n

Division of Next generation Open education Promotion<\/h3>\n

We are committed to harnessing state-of-the-art ICT\u2014particularly in areas like virtual reality, human-computer interaction, and 5G communications\u2014to create field-specific, immersive digital educational content. Our development will also extend to appropriate teaching methodologies, encompassing online and distance learning, to facilitate active learning among students. Furthermore, by sharing and publishing these exceptional educational materials and teaching methods, we aim to contribute to the broader advancement of knowledge within society.<\/p>\n

Division of Research Data Service<\/h3>\n

We develop infrastructure for the preservation, sharing, and publishing research data. In addition, we provide human support for research data management (RDM), including assistance with creating data management plans, offering advice on managing research data, supporting data publication, and providing literacy education on research data management for students. We also conduct research on methods for RDM and RDM services which are appropriate to Japan. Furthermore, we collaborate in implementing the certificate program \u201cResearch Data Management (RDM) Support Personnel Development Program\u201d offered by the Department of Library Sciences, Graduate school of Integrated Frontier Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Division of Healthcare Digital Transformation<\/h3>\n

We promote digital transformation in the field of healthcare by collecting personal health-related data and integrating it with open data from industry, academia, and government sectors. Our efforts include building and utilizing a data-driven infrastructure for clinical research, as well as conducting research on compliance in managing next-generation healthcare data.<\/span><\/p>\n

Division of Data Analysis Support<\/h3>\n

Our division aims to support researchers seeking to conduct applied data science research in various fields and to accelerate their research. Algorithms related to data science research are advancing rapidly and are difficult to catch up with. New computer systems supporting algorithms are released frequently and require advanced technical know-how in hardware and software. We support the use of data science methods by providing researchers with knowledge of algorithms and the use of high-performance computers through workshops and other means.<\/span><\/p>\n

Division of Administrative DX Promotion<\/h3>\n

Following a comprehensive review of the administrative workflows across the entire university, we have launched the \u201cAdministrative DX Promotion Project.\u201d The goal of this project is to streamline and standardize our administrative processes, ensuring optimal usage of data and alignment with cloud-based systems.
